Fjords of Cloud
Weather inversion in Greater Vancouver, British Columbia. This is when sea level land is completely immersed in fog, but tall buildings and higher land enjoy the sun. Shot at SFU’s Burnaby campus.
Mystical
Moose Lake in British Columbia, Canada. This is a heavily processed shot. From my point of view, the goal in landscape photography is not necessarily to imitate the natural look of the scene, or what the eyes see. I sometimes try to augment the scene into a visually stunning yet still somehow believable image. I…
Canadian Frost
A frozen Maligne Lake in Alberta, Canada. Shot in May 2014. The view itself was pretty colourless apart from the trees, so I slightly boosted the blues to get these colder tones.
Deep Blue

Half Frozen
A half frozen Moraine Lake. This is a reprocess of one of my older photos, to give it a colder feel.

Frozen Moonlight
This is Lost Lagoon, dreamy, misty, frozen, and only lit by a pale moonlight. There were no lights in a 400 meter radius of that spot, so even this dark exposure needed 30 seconds and some post processing on 200 ISO and 5.6 aperture.
The music is of course none other than Beethoven’s extraordinary out-of-this-world Moonlight Sonata.
